When Lawrence Guitars unveiled their L1H WK “White Knight” electric guitar, they wanted every detail to feel considered, distinctive, and beautifully made. To achieve that final touch, they selected our 931 Brushed Golden Aluminum for the pickguard — transforming a functional component into a defining design feature.
Set against the White Knight’s body, the brushed golden aluminium finish brings warmth, contrast, and depth. The colour and finely defined brushed texture catch the light beautifully, adding a subtle glow that elevates the entire instrument without distracting from its craftsmanship. As Lawrence Guitars described it, the material truly became “the cherry on the guitar design.”
The pickguard was precision-shaped using CNC cutting, then carefully finished to soften edges and achieve a clean, tactile feel — a process that reflects the same attention to detail found in every Lawrence instrument.
The collaboration extended beyond the guitar itself. The same brushed golden aluminum was used on the custom guitar case, with branded plates on both the exterior and interior. Laser-engraved details — including the L1H White Knight branding, serial number, and Lawrence logos — were refined through careful testing to achieve the perfect depth and sheen, creating a cohesive identity from instrument to case.
The result is a guitar where material and craftsmanship work in harmony. The 931 Brushed Golden Aluminum doesn’t simply protect or decorate — it becomes a signature element, adding character, durability, and quiet luxury to an instrument built to be played and treasured.
